Sikkim Hill Station :

The gorgeous Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim, lies near Ranipool river. The name Gangtok means “High Hill”. You can have wonderful looks of Kangchendzonga range from this place which thrills you from inside. The place has old wooden building with traditional pattern. Best time to visit is Mid-february to late May and between October and December. This city can be experienced only by visiting this place not through the books.
Attractions :
Major attractions includes The Palace of the Chogyal which opens only once in a year in the last week of December for the Pang Lhabsol festival. Other attractions are the White Hall, Hanuman Tok, Enchey Monastery, Ganesh Tok & Pinetum, Phurba-chorten, the Deer Park, Himalayan Zoological Park, Tashi View Point, Tusklakhang or Royal Chapel and the Research Institute of Tibetology on a hilltop.

How to Reach :
By Air : Nearest airport is Bagdogra (Siliguri)(124 kms) in the state of West Bengal which has regular flights from Calcutta and Delhi.
By Rail : Nearest railway stations are Siliguri (114 km) and you can also go to New Jalpaiguri (125 km), both are well-connected to Guwahati, Calcutta, Delhi, Lucknow and other major cities in India.
By Road : Gangtok Bus Stand is connected by road with Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri and other major centres.
