Rameshwaram is an island situated in the gulf of manner and important hindu pilgrim centre. It is at the very tip of the Indian peninsula. T his place is famous as Lord Rama, built a bridge across the sea to Sri Lanka (24Kms), to rescue his wife Sita. The Bridge is 5 kms from the Temple. It is said that Rameshwaram is madatory to visit to attain Moksha There is a temple of Sri Ranganatha which is believed as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of India.
