Pushkar

'Pushkar' the holy hindu pilgrimage is just 11 km lying in the West of Ajmer. The place is dedicated as a home of holy Brahma who is the creator in the Hindu Trinity. It is believed that a holy ritual holy dip in the holy Pushkar absolves all the sins on Karthik Purnima.

A huge crowd of devotees take dip on the holy occasion in the lake and then they pray at the temple dedicated to Lord brahma. The lake is having 52 ghats.Pushkar is also having one of the largest cattle fairs in the world. The biggest attraction being the temple of Lord Brahma. Pushkar is also the site for one of the largest and most colorful cattle fairs in the world. Among the one holiest hindu pilgrimage, it is having the desert festival in the November month which draws heavy attention of visitors.

By Air : Nearest airport is at Jaipur (131 km).
By Rail : Nearest Railway Station is Ajmer (11 km).
By Road : Pushkar is well connected to Delhi, Jodhpur and Bikaner and from Ajmer to other parts of the country.
