Deccan Odyssey

This Super Deluxe luxury train is launched by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation Ltd in association with Indian Railways & Ministry of Tourism. It is one of the best luxury trains among the world, like the Blue Train of South Africa, The Orient Express of Europe and the Eastern and Oriental of South East Asia.
The train is the Indian Royalty and modern amenities which reflects through the plush interiors, an awesome cuisine and grate which makes a journey memorable.

1. 21 coaches, out of which 13 are passenger cars accommodating 8 people per coach (11 passenger Cars, 4 coupes per coach & 2 Presidential Suite Cars, 2 coupes per coach).
2. 1 Conference Car, 2 Dinning Cars.
3. 2 Generator Cars with Luggage Store.
4. 1 Staff, spare Car, 1 Spa Car, 1 Bar Car.
5. The train has on-board facilities like T.V., Cable connection with central audio disc player, cell phones, Channel Music, Foreign exchange facilities, etc. The present capacity of the train is 80 pax.

Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg-Goa-Kolhapur-Pune-Nashik-Aurangabad (Ajanta – Ellora)-Nasik and Mumbai.

It will be a seven nights round trip starting on every Wednesday from Mumbai. The itinerary of the tour can be broadly as follows:

Indian Tariff Chart (Per Person Per Night) up as per the Management

• Any leg of minimum of 3 nights subject to availability will be given at the above-mentioned rates. Thus Mumbai-Goa and Goa-Mumbai sector will be sold as available segments to clients.
• If however, the client undertakes the day programme at Goa & Mumbai, an extra $ 100 USD per person will be charged.
• Tariff is inclusive of travel/catering/conducted sight-seeing/ entrance fee at Monuments/Parks/Palaces/Cultural Programmes/ Boat Ride. The guest has to pay for video cameras, liquor, laundry and other items of personal nature.
• Half fare for children between 5 and 12 years.
• Note: 10% Surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/ New Year.

1. Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Fax/E-mail & subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division at Head Office, Mumbai.
2. Value of Ticket to be retained by MTDC on cancellation will be as follows:
1. 5% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure 60 days.
2. 20% of Ticket Value 30-59 days prior to departure.
3. 50% of ticket value 15-29 days prior to departure.
   
4. 100% of ticket value 14 days prior to departure.
3. No refund or adjustment will be made inthe event of interruption of journey by a tourist on his own after the commencement of the tour.

Climate :

The two restaurant cars, serve a range of Indian, Continental, Maharashtrian, Goa and Chinese cuisines. Menus are changed seasonally.
