The Beaches of Tamil Nadu are quite famous for their ideal position to view the dawn and dusk in its most natural form. Most popular and frequently visited beaches include the Marina Beach, Rameshwaram Beach and Kanyakumari Beach.

This beach is also called Chennai Beach or the Gateway to the South, and is a 4.5 kms long stretch in Chennai and that's why among the longest beaches in Asia. This is a major attraction for tourists when they come to Chennai. Bathing and swimming is quite dangerous due to strong undercurrent. The nearby visits are Anna, M.G.R. Memorials and its Indo-Saracenic buildings. |

This is among the most famous and popular hindu pilgrimage centers of South India. Rameshwaram is an island situated off the mainland surrounded by Palk Strait and the Gulf of Mannar.Sea here is very calm that's why it is an ideal site for swimming and sunbathing. Nearby world famous visits are Ramanathaswamy Temple which was built in 17th Century and Agnitheertham, this is just 100 m away from the temple. |

KanyaKumari or Cape Comorin is the multi coloured sand beach and the culmination point of India's land. It is surrounded by Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea that's why it t is also well-known as the 'Thriveni Sangamam'.
The spectacular Sun Rises and Sun Sets especially on the full moon days are very famous. It is also famous for Gandhi Mandapam and Kanyakumari Amman temple.
Amidst the sea of Kanyakumari, a small hillock houses the memorial of Swami Vivekananda. rides on motor boats and wind surfing. It is ideal for angling and fishing too. Get set for a good catch. |
