Ranthambhor National Park :

Ranthambhor National Park is situated in the State of Rajasthan, midway between Bharatpur and Kota townships, near the town of Sawai Madhopur . It is sprawled over the Aravali and Vindhya Mountain Ranges. It was previously the hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur. It embraces various lakes and rivers along with the well-known Ranthambhor Fort (10th Century). This park gives you the experience of royal past and encounter with majestic tiger and they can be easily spotted here in daylight.

Facts :
Area : 400 sq. km appx.
Established : 1955 as a sanctuary, 1973 as a tiger reserve and became a National Park in the year 1981.
Best Season : Oct-June, Recommended Dec-April.
