Periyar National Park :
Periyar, the most picturesque reserves contains a dam constructed on the periyar river, Periyar river which forms a 55 sq. kms lake. The natural Beauty is really mind blowing here. It really provides peace in mind. Here, we can get elephant, tiger, mouse deer, wild dog porcupine, lion tailed macaque, flying squirrel easily. |
| Other Marvellous creatures here are Chinkara, wild boar, striped hyena, jackal, common langoor, porcupine, hare, black buck along with 200 other bird species which includes grey partridge, Bonelli's Eagle, peafowl, crested serpent eagle, jungle bush quail, painted sand grouse, common green pigeon and several species of doves in this Sanctuary. Marsh crocodile can also be easily seen in its rivers. |
