Manas National Park :
The Manas National Park is situated in the foothills of the Bhutanese Himalayas. This National Park is the only known home of the Golden Leaf Monkey discovered only a few decades ago and its
majestic
tigers. The Manas National Park is named after the Manas river which divides the lush mixed deciduous forests that run through India to Bhutan.
On both sides, the habitat is zealously protected as it houses near about 20 species of birds and animals that are highly endangered like golden langu. Other spectacular wildlife fauna in this National Park are wild buffalo, hispid hare, pigmy hog, capped langur, India one-horned rhinoceros, water buffalo, elephant, tiger and hog deer. |
