Manali: This wonderful heaven gifted by mother nature is situated in 32 kms far from Kullu valley and 280 kms north of the state capital Shimla at an altitude of 2,050m above sea level. The term “Manali” is derived from Manavalaya which means the Home of Manu (a holy sage of Hindus).

One of the well-known and popular hill stations of Himachal Pradesh situated on the south bank of the Ravi River and just 56 kms far from Dalhausie via Khajjiar. It was founded by Raja Varman and named it on his daughter Champavati.
