Bandhavgarh National Park :
Bandhavgarh National Park is located in the Vindhya Hills. It's a wildlife retreat where history and nature meet. Bandhavgarh encompasses hills covered with a mixed forest of sal, dhobin and saga and large stretches of grassland with bamboo groves. Dominated by a large fort said to have been built by Lord Rama, the hero of the Indian epic Ramayana.
Bandhavgarh is famous for its tigers, jungle cat, hyena. It is presently a natural hub for white tigers. About 150 species of birds known from the Tala area are also found over here including the Brown Fish Owl, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle, Malabar Pied Hornbill and Shahin Falcon. Special Note : Park is open from 1st Oct. to 30th June. Rest it is closed.
